All in the Family
Together We Are Stronger
This website illustrates that together we are more than the sum of our parts.
We are a small family farm tucked away in the Heartland and dating back to the 1800s. Once the main source of income, generations have moved off the land in an effort to improve their livelihood.
Now as we prepare to transition the farm to the next generation, we find ourselves both blessed and challenged. How do we affordably preserve our farm for future generations while caring for the land? Can we find income producing alternatives that allow us to restore the farm and support its future? Can we sustain our family farm digitally, giving us the flexibility to manage it remotely while keeping it in the family?
Our farm is a constant experiment as we explore what comes next. This site gives us the opportunity to stay curious — digging into ideas at the intersection of tradition and innovation, family and the farm.
I am grateful for the opportunity to create and manage this website with my parents, siblings, children, nieces, and nephews. As each of our generations enters a new phase of life, we are blessed to have each other—and hopeful for the future and the good our little farm can leave on the world.
